This course focuses on teaching strategies, techniques, and methods for adult learners, including preparation of model teaching units, lesson plans, or activities; testing and evaluation procedures; and learner-assessment techniques. Students deepen their understanding of essential components of teaching, such as describing their philosophy of teaching and how to build a safe and welcoming learning space, process, and style. They also learn to create syllabi tailored to specific content, context, and approach.
