POLS 456 Equal Employment Opportunity and Discrimination Law

This course provides an overview of equal employment opportunity law in the United States, including an in-depth exploration of federal laws prohibiting discrimination based on race, color, sex (including gender and stereotyping), pregnancy, national origin, religion, age, disability, genetic information, and military service, as well as an overview of related state laws prohibiting sexual orientation discrimination, family/parental status, etc. This course will describe how these laws impact diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
