SOCW 674 Soc Wk Pract in Hlth Setngs

Explores the central contribution of social work to comprehensive health care; social work interventions to assess and ameliorate the psychological effects of illness and disability are included along with emerging roles for social work in prevention and health maintenance. Prerequisite: SOCW 560 or 610 with a grade of B or better, or permission of the department chairperson. Parallel: SOCW 600 or 601 or 620 or 640 or 641 or 650 or 660 or 661. Open only to students admitted into the Masters in Social Work program.
