Major in Property Management (BA/BS)

Major in Property Management covers the development, management, operation, marketing, legal, and financial aspects of operating apartment/multi-family housing, commercial office, hospitality, retail, and other sectors of real estate investments that are operated for commercial purposes.  Instruction emphasizes hands-on application of course concepts.  The curriculum requires an internship and the students are required to sit for the Certified Apartment Leasing Professional (CALP) and Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) exams.

Graduates of the program often start in positions as leasing consultants, assistant property managers, property managers, or in manager-in-training programs.  The graduates frequently advance in their careers quickly.  Employers are companies whose portfolios include residential and commercial property management.
