PEP 400 Curriculum Design in Physical Education and Health

This course explores curriculum development in physical education and health, emphasizing historical, philosophical, and social foundations, as well as current issues and legislation. Students will design standards-based plans, adapt instruction for diverse learners, and manage resources to promote equitable learning. Emphasis is placed on aligning objectives with national standards, developing sequential instruction, and creating assessments that measure student achievement.

Prerequisite: PEP 161, PEP 209, and PEP 394; Physical Education and Health teaching major students by permission of the coordinator. Open only to Physical Education and Health teaching major and Elementary Education majors.
