The College of Communication, Information, and Media is an innovative learning community in which students discover, integrate, and apply the tools needed for success in the communication professions. This includes the discovery of the many ways people communicate, integration of the use of information and technology into the student's own communication, and application of these abilities through the practices of writing well, speaking persuasively, and producing media content creatively. Students are mentored to be leaders and innovators in the communication professions and in service to their community. The college offers programs in public communication, entertainment and sports communication, organizational and professional communication, relational and interpersonal communication, computer information technology, applied cybersecurity, strategic communication (advertising and public relations), media design and development, journalism, journalism education, production, sports production, esports production, sports reporting, multimedia and broadcast storytelling, media promotion and management, and film and media studies.

The college also offers an interdisciplinary minor in Communication, Information, and Media Strategy to equip students with the skills necessary for our ever-changing communication landscape. This minor is ideal for those who want to enhance their major with the ability to effectively create, manage, and analyze communication across today’s rapidly changing industries. More information about the minor can be found through the Communication Studies link below and the link to the minor from the Communication Studies catalog page.
