PEP 222 Teaching Field and Court Invasion Games
This course develops preservice teachers’ content knowledge, skill competency, and pedagogical expertise for teaching invasion (territory) games such as soccer, basketball, team handball, ultimate, and floor hockey. Students will explore tactical and skill development, game-centered pedagogy (e.g., Teaching Games for Understanding), and differentiated instructional strategies that foster participation, decision-making, and teamwork.
Permission of the coordinator required . Open only to Physical Education and Health Teacher Education Majors, Elementary Education Majors with a concentration in Physical Education, and Coaching minors.
