ANIM 201 Introduction to 3D Animation

Provides an introduction to techniques of three-dimensional computer graphics, as well as the fundamental concepts and philosophy of animation. The techniques include 3D modeling, digital lighting and shading, and basic animation. Autodesk Maya is the primary software to complete the course assignments. 


Prerequisite: AFA 101 and ADS 101, or AFA 101 and ADS 102, or AFA 101 and ADS 103, or ADS 101 and ADS 102, or ADS 101 and ADS 103, or ADS 102 and ADS 103, all with a minimum grade of C or better.

Open only to Animation majors. Departmental permission will be issued for Media Visual Effects and Motion Graphics Production and Computer Science Game Design students.
