ART 353 Animation: CG Lighting for Visual Effects
The Animation: CG Lighting for Visual Effects course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the crucial role of lighting in the creation of captivating visual effects (VFX). Through hands-on projects and practical exercises, students will learn how to manipulate light to evoke emotions, create atmosphere, and emphasize storytelling elements in animated scenes. With a focus on industry-standard software and tools, students will delve into the nuances of global illumination, shading, and texturing to achieve realistic and immersive visual effects.

Open to School of Art animation majors, or permission by instructor.
