AFA 371 Printmaking: Serigraphy
This course addresses the processes of serigraphy (silkscreen as a fine art form), which includes basic stencil (block-out) techniques and their variations, photo-serigraphy processes, digital-aided compositions, and the use of color in printing. Emphasizes the ability to deal creatively with the serigraphy process for personal individual artistic choices. Subsequent serigraphy course enrollments continue the exploration of serigraphy that is designed to increase sophistication in serigraphic techniques, approaches, concepts, and the use of color. A total of 6 credits may be earned, but no more than 3 in any one semester or term.
Prerequisite: AFA 231 or by permission of instructor.
