AFA 341 Printmaking: Intaglio

Intaglio printmaking dealing with basic intaglio techniques (incision and/or incision-type processes on metal plates) including line etching, drypoint, engraving, softground, and aquatint. Subsequent intaglio course enrollments emphasize the progressive ability to deal creatively and conceptually with open-ended problem solving, as well as with in-depth aesthetic decision-making, for personal individual artistic choices. A total of 9 credits may be earned, but no more than 3 in any one semester or term.

Prerequisite: AFA 231 or by permission of instructor.

Open only to School of Art majors and minors.
