FCFN 350 Technology of Food Science

Scientific evaluation of the behavior of food and its qualitative and quantitative properties. Overview of the food industry, food technology, biotechnology, and federal regulation related to food supply. Review of research and marketing practices of bioengineered food and dietary supplements. Prerequisite: FCFN 220 and PSYS 241. Open only to those admitted into the dietetics major.
