MUST 211 Music Theory III

Continues with the study of tonal harmony taught in MUST 111 and 112, with a marked emphasis on chromatic harmony and form. Extensions to and applications of chromaticism to tonal harmony that are typical of the Romantic era are emphasized (a great number of these chromatic events are found in the music of the High Baroque and Classical eras and will also be covered). Prerequisite: MUST 112 with a minimum grade of C
