CCIM 301 CCIM Career Development
This course provides students with the skills and confidence needed to articulate how their knowledge, experience, skills, and creative work demonstrate transferable competencies applicable across professional contexts. CCIM 301 emphasizes student agency in academic and career development by positioning them as active participants in shaping their professional pathways rather than passive recipients of opportunity. Through hands on learning and targeted instruction, students will learn how to search, apply, and interview for internships and jobs; create career-focused résumés and cover letters; write professional correspondence; develop a professional portfolio; prepare for interviews; negotiate offers; assess workplace fit and cost of living; and demonstrate appropriate professional etiquette. By the end of the course, students will be better prepared to join the job market with clarity, confidence and a solid foundation for a successful, rewarding career. Prerequisite: CCIM 101 or CCIM 200
