CCIM 101 The CCIM Experience
As an introduction-to-college course, CCIM 101 equips students in the College of Communication, Information, and Media with essential skills and knowledge needed to navigate college life and to establish deep relationships with fellow students, faculty, and staff members. Students will build a strong foundation for academic success and subsequent professional growth through exposure to various Ball State resources and student organizations, participation in campus events, engagement in self-assessment exercises, and exploration of effective study and communication strategies. The course also orients students as members of an academic discourse community by exploring the principle of academic integrity, the ethical use of emerging technologies (including AI), and the engagement of healthy discourse with varied ideas.
