AHS 102 Art in a Globalized World: Art History after 1500 CE

This course provides an introduction to global art and architecture from 1500 CE to the present. Major traditions in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas are examined in terms of media, technique, style, subject matter, and sociocultural context, as well as key issues related to the global contemporary art world of the late twentieth and twenty-first centuries.
