Explores underlying theory and skills of reading development and applies concepts to reading instruction for deaf and hard of hearing students across the content areas. Reading assessment and related analysis are applied to planning and instructional decisions for word study, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension.
Prerequisites: SPCE 640 and SPCE 641 with a minimum grade of B or better.
