SPCE 609 Concepts and Principles in Applied Behavior Analysis

Introduces students to the basic concepts and principles of applied behavior analysis within the context of educational and developmental settings. Focus will be on developing students’ competence in appropriately defining behavior and understanding the contingencies used to change or teach behaviors. Topics include differentiation between reinforcement and punishment, schedules of reinforcement, and contingencies of behavior.
