Minor in Global Studies
The minor in Global Studies is intended to integrate broad perspectives of coursework and global agency. The study of language combines with interdisciplinary coursework in a variety of fields that trains students to be engaged and successful global citizens.

ML 101 is intended to be taken at the beginning of the Global Studies Minor in parallel with other requirements.

Students who are minoring in Spanish, French, Japanese, German, Chinese, or in the Arabic Language, Religion, and Culture minor will need to have at least 9 unique credits that have not been used to count toward that minor.
Required Language Courses, 6-8 credits
Students take two courses at Ball State within the following language prefixes: AR, CH, FR, GER, JAPA, or SP
- No prior language experience: Take 101 and 102 in AR, CH, FR, GER, JAPA, or SP
- Prior language experience: Take course and subsequent course determined by results of Department of Modern Languages and Classics language placement exam. 100-300 level courses including 101, 102, 201, 202, 301, and 302.
