ML 101 Going Global: Tools for Exploring Languages and Cultures
This introductory course provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue an advanced course of study in Modern Languages or Global Studies. The course addresses topics important to language learning—including basic skills associated with linguistic, literary, and cultural analysis—and the development of cultural competencies. Students participate in a formative assessment depending on their course of study: language proficiency or intercultural competency. Taught in English.
Parallel: Language courses in the Beginning (101 and 102), Intermediate (201 and 202), or Advanced (301 and 302) sequences.
