Introduction to the basic concepts, methods, and tools of public health data collection, use and analysis, practical applications of quantitative methods in health science. Weekly two-hour laboratory period emphasizes data management and analysis using advanced technology. Prerequisite: HSC 180 and MATH 108 or 111 or 112 or 125 or 132 or 161 or 162 or 165 or 166; junior status.
