ENG 644 Early 20th Cen American Lit

Examination of literary works and intellectual and aesthetic movements during the first half of the twentieth century. Attention will be given to cultural, political, and intellectual contexts, and to current scholarship on the period. Prerequisite: permission of the department chairperson. A total of 6 credits may be earned, but no more than 3 in any one semester or term.
