ML 305 Global Voices, Shared Stories

This course explores selected works by major writers in a modern language taught in the department of Modern Languages and Cultures, with all readings provided in English translation. Each semester, the course will focus on a specific theme, genre, or historical context, showcasing the richness of global literary traditions. Authors and topics may vary.

Students will engage in close reading and analysis of texts, examining their cultural and historical significance while discussing universal themes (e.g. identity, love, migration, travel, and the human condition).
