BIO 465 Forensic Entomology
Forensic Entomology introduces students to the biological, ecological, and developmental principles underlying the use of insects and other arthropods in medicolegal investigations. Emphasis is placed on insect succession, postmortem interval estimation, specimen collection, and the interpretation of entomological evidence within legal and investigative contexts. Laboratory and field components provide hands‑on experience with identification, rearing, documentation, and case‑based analysis.

- BIO 111 and BIO 112 with a minimum grade of B-
- ZOOL 441 (General Entomology) recommended
- Or permission of instructor
