The Minor in Educational Studies offers opportunities to learn about systems of education including adult learning, community engagement, curriculum structures and processes, instructional coaching, mentoring, learning technologies, learning design, and cultural contexts. All students in the minor will take one of two foundational courses. Students will then choose one of four clusters: Adult and Community Education, Curriculum and Instructional Leadership, Educational Technology, and Multicultural Education. Within each cluster, students will complete two required specialty courses and two courses from a list of select electives. Students in a variety of majors will benefit from this minor including those studying education (e.g., elementary, secondary, special, early childhood, etc.), business administration, management and leadership, communication studies, journalism, political science, sociology, psychological sciences, computer and information technology, public health, legal studies, and more.
