Minor in Civic Studies

The Civic Studies Minor at Ball State University is designed to cultivate informed and engaged citizens through a comprehensive program that combines academic coursework, campus engagement, community involvement, and a capstone experience. Upon completion of the Civic Studies Minor at Ball State University, students will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of civic engagement, responsibility, and the role of individuals in a democratic society. The program's measurable learning objectives are designed to assess students' knowledge, skills, and attitudes in various dimensions of civic learning.
