MUHI 107 History of Rock and Roll in America
This survey of rock and roll music in the United States begins with its origins in rhythm and blues of the 1950s and extends through multiple sub-genres and rock-influenced styles of popular music in the present day. Students practice identifying and analyzing the stylistic and structural elements of rock music, while also considering its cultural contexts and socio-political significance.
