Minor in Computational Linguistics

In the Computational Linguistics minor, you will:

  • Learn how to analyze linguistic structure and identify patterns of language use in corpora.
  • Learn how to create a meaningful corpora/extract data out of a corpus
  • Answer research questions using a linguistic database

ENG 400 must be related to Computational Linguistics.

Related majors (CS, DANA, Applied Linguistics) can minor in Computational Linguistics, but are limited to a maximum of 8 credit hours counting towards the minor. Additional credits will need to be completed in order to fulfill the required 26 credit hours for the minor. Students need to work closely with their academic advisor to ensure all requirements are met for the minor.
