SPAA 621 Advanced Speech Sound Disorders in Children
The advanced study of children with speech-sound disorders is addressed, including phonological disorders, articulation disorders, and atypical speech-sound disorders. Emphasis is placed on generative phonology, language, and motor-based treatment approaches. Extensive data-based outcome measures are reviewed to determine generalization with-in and between sound classes and environments. A review of multicultural/multilingual is also reviewed pertinent to speech-sound disorders.
