HIST 446 Data Visualization in History and the Social Sciences
Introduces students to data analysis and visualization for historians and social scientists. They will learn to work with data, including finding, gathering, manipulating, analyzing, visualizing, and arguing from data, with special attention to geospatial, textual, and network data. In addition to examining the development of data visualization techniques, students will engage in hands-on experiences with appropriate visualization tools and learn how to present their work on the web with HTML and CSS.
