FOR 401 Applied Forensic Science
Mixed theory and hands-on experience(s) in a laboratory/field setting to strengthen individual skills in scientific reasoning and observation. Using inquiry-based settings, students will learn basic scientific and mathematical methods and models required in forensic science. Representative skills may include: the determination of the force and motion of a vehicular crash, or the logical sequence of events determined through blood spatter analysis. The course also may include examination of physical evidence, crime scene protection and investigation procedures, forensic entomology, and forensic anthropology (depending on instructor).
Prerequisites: FOR 101, FOR 201, FOR 301, FOR 302, FOR 303, CS 120 and DANA 320 or GEOG 265, and MATH 181 or MATH 221
Open only to Forensic Science majors with senior status, or permission of the Forensic Program director.
