EDPS 390 Learning & Assessment in Secondary Education
Study of the psychological principles underlying the processes of teaching, learning, and assessment. Primary focus is provided on best practices in assessment, research-based strategies to promote learning and motivation in schools, and using data to support decision making in classroom contexts. Content will cover the theoretical bases of these concepts as well as promoting the applied implementation of best practices in educational settings, intended for secondary or all grade licensing programs.
Prerequisite: EDPS 250 or EDPS 251or permission of the department chairperson.
Not open to students who have credit in EDPS 393 or EDPS 391.
