CM 230 Renovation of Residential Structures
An immersive learning class focusing on the processes, strategies, and documents involved in the renovation of residential structures.
Teams of students will work with local community organizations, agencies or businesses to develop one or more of the following: renovation plans for existing houses or new infill, cost estimates and materials lists and/or feasibility studies and condition assessments.
Students will learn about housing styles, explore residential construction materials and (when available) tour residential build sites and visit industry related locations.
Prerequisite: CM 106; CM 180
A total of 6 credits may be earned.
