Minor in Environmental Outreach and Interpretation
The Environmental Outreach and Interpretation minor will prepare students for careers that engage the public in a wide variety of ways related to the environment, nature, and sustainability. Whether you will be teaching in a K-12 classroom, engaging visitors at a zoo, or doing formal or informal education in State and National Parks or a variety of capacities, the minor will provide hands-on learning opportunities with a special focus on learning skills in environmental interpretation and curriculum development. Students will also receive a foundation in Geological Structures, Natural Resource Management, Ecology, and Cultural topics to support their future outreach and interpretation endeavors.
