Minor in Communication and Management

This minor introduces students to important communication and human relations issues, especially as they relate to improving communication skills and applying those skills when dealing with individuals at all organizational levels. This minor focuses on essential knowledge and skills for professional success, including speaking and presentational skills, decision-making, problem-solving, collaboration, innovation, and leadership.

Option 1 is for majors in communication studies.

Option 2 is for majors in human resources, management and leadership, entrepreneurship and innovation, or business administration.

Option 3 is for all other majors.

Up to 3 courses or 9 of the 18-hour minor can also count in the student’s major. The remaining 9 hours of the minor must consist of new coursework.
