Unique Credits
Course work applied to a master’s degree earned at Ball State cannot be counted towards another master’s degree at Ball State. The Dual Master’s Degree policy is the only exception.
Students may not apply the same course work toward two different certificates at Ball State.
No course work applied to a graduate degree earned outside of Ball State can be transferred to a master’s degree or certificate at Ball State.
Master’s degrees earned at or outside of Ball State may be transferred into a doctoral or specialist program. See the

Doctoral degree sections for more information. Programs may accept fewer credits than those allowed by the Graduate School.
