TGRA 489 Quality Control and Automation
Develops the student's understanding and knowledge within the areas of integration, automation, and Lean Manufacturing through an in-depth exploration of control systems used in the printing and publishing industries. Topics of discussion include plant and facility layout (equipment space and safety needs), logistics, inventory control, materials handling, and health and safety concerns associated with print production (MSDS information, press safety, facility safety, etc.). Prerequisite: senior standing or by permission of the department chairperson.
