From the classical age to the present. The development of eighteenth- century philosophies, romanticism, realism, naturalism, and symbolism in French literature; literature of modern France. Prerequisite: FR 202 or permission of the department chairperson. Prerequisite recommended: FR 360 or its equivalent.
