ANTH 341 Anthropology of Gender
Considers many different ways in which gender intersects with race, ethnicity, class, religion, and sexuality. Class topics will include cross-cultural ideas and practices regarding femininity and masculinity, the politics of production and reproduction, globalization and migration, and violence and militarism as well as the ways that people subscribe to and/or resist gender norms. Prerequisite: ANTH 101, 111, a WGS course, or permission of the instructor.
