CS 530 System Programming

Considers the computer system from the points of view of its architecture, operating system, and applications. Topics include processor organization, peripheral devices, I/O programming, system programs, monitor services, file organization, and real-time applications. Before enrolling, a student is expected to have completed CS 230 or the equivalent of an undergraduate computer architecture course. Not open to students who have credit in CS 430.
