The Department of Special Education prepares students to work with individuals with a variety of exceptional needs through our wide array of majors and minors. We offer degrees in applied behavior analysis (autism) and special education P-12 with concentrations in mild and intense interventions and deaf education. The department also has two dual majors in conjunction with Elementary Education (dual-major in mild interventions and elementary education) and Early Childhood Youth and Family studies (dual major in early childhood special education). Minors are available in applied behavior analysis, autism, deaf studies, early childhood special education, and American Sign Language. The ASL courses satisfy the modern language requirement.
