SPCE 458 Teaching Reading Across the Content Areas for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students
Explores various approaches to teaching reading and applies them to reading instruction for deaf/hard of hearing students across the content areas. Curriculum maps and unit plans are developed to integrate reading across the curriculum. Reviews of reading assessments for deaf/hard of hearing students are applied to the reading strategies used for fluency, phonetics, comprehension and vocabulary.
Prerequisite: EDRD 400; SPCE 454.
