PHYC 456 Advanced Electronics

Basic concepts, theories, and applications of digital electronics, electric instrumentation and controls are examined.  Topics include: Physical principles of MOSFETs, amplifiers and circuits, logic gates and circuits, Boolean algebra, combinational and sequential logic and circuits. In addition, flip-flops and digital memory, digital-to-analog and analog-to-digital conversion, data acquisition, electrical instrumentation, computer-controlled instrumentation are discussed. Prerequisite: PHYC 354 or permission of the department chairperson.
