Scientific evaluation of the behavior of food and its qualitative and quantitative properties. Overview of the food industry, food technology, biotechnology, and federal regulations related to food supply. Review of research and marketing practices of bioengineered food and dietary supplements.
Prerequisite: HOSP 220.
