ENGR 425 Digital Signal Processing
This course focuses on the sampling and reconstruction of continuous signals via digital systems. The z-transform is used for FIR and IIR filter design. Relation between the z-transform and fourier transform is utilized for further signal analysis. The DFT and FFT are covered, as well as algorithmic implementations and utilization for filter design. Nyquist-Shannon sampling theorem, decimation, and interpolation are also covered. Signal processing filters and algorithms are implemented on CPUs, DSPs, and FPGAs.
Prerequisites: MATH 320 and ENGR 303, each with a C- or higher.
