ENGR 318 Materials and Processes
This course is an introduction to the science of engineering materials. The primary focus is on the relationships between processing, structure, properties, and performance of metals, ceramics, polymers and composites. Students will learn to interpret stress-strain diagrams, phase diagrams, and isothermal transformation diagrams, and to evaluate the fitness of various materials for engineering applications.
