ART 450 Animation: Visual Effects Production

Provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the entire production process of visual effects (VFX) in the animation industry. Students will explore the critical components of pre-production, production, and post-production phases, gaining insights into project management, collaboration, and the integration of VFX elements into live-action footage. Through hands-on projects and case studies, students will learn to conceptualize, plan, and execute VFX sequences, applying industry-standard techniques and tools to achieve seamless integration and stunning visual effects. Emphasis will be placed on fostering collaborative skills, effective communication, and problem-solving abilities in a production environment.

Prerequisite: ART 351, MDIA 332

Open only to School of Art animation majors, or permission by instructor.
