Cognate in Education Policy, Politics, & Diverse Contexts
The constellation of courses in the Education Policy, Politics, & Diverse Contexts encompass a comprehensive and critical examination of public education as a political institution of a democratic society that is culturally and ethnically diverse. Courses critically examine the socio-cultural, historical, and philosophical foundations of education, in addition to local, state, and federal education policies and the progression of education reform.

They provide background scholarship, the ethical standards and critical/theoretical frameworks that constitute this interdisciplinary field and research area.
