Master of Arts in Educational Psychology
Educational Psychology is the study of human learning and development. More specifically, it includes the study and education of cognition, intelligence, behavior, motivation, social-emotional development, self-regulation, neuropsychology, and psychometrics (assessment). Educational Psychology is a core science in teacher education, educational policy, school leadership and clinical services in schools such as School Psychology and School Counseling.
The Master of Arts in Educational Psychology is a non-clinical, non-licensure program designed to prepare master teachers, instructional designers, assessment consultants, data coaches, program evaluators, and researchers in service to schools, agencies, industries, and other entities engaged in learning and development. The M.A. in Educational Psychology complements many undergraduate degrees, most commonly teacher education or psychology. But it also serves as a catalyst for new careers in the learning sciences or for doctoral degrees.
