Master of Arts or Science (MA/MS) in Athletic Coaching Education
The Master of Arts or Science (MA/MS) in Athletic Coaching Education program requires students to complete a minimum of 30 credits of graduate courses. To fulfill the requirements for a Master of Science degree, students must include 6 credits dedicated to a thesis project (THES 698). Alternatively, for those pursuing a Master of Arts degree, the coursework should consist of 3 credits assigned to either a research project (RES 697), a creative project (CRPR 698), or internship hours (ACE 600). Students who choose RES 697, CRPR 698, or THES 698 are required to undergo a final oral defense to demonstrate their understanding and mastery of the chosen project or thesis. This comprehensive degree program offers a balance of academic coursework, hands-on experience, and scholarly inquiry to prepare graduates for successful careers in athletic coaching education.
